Kate’s Visit to Ambiente: Setting the Direction for Home Textiles 2026

Where designers, manufacturers, and retailers connect.

Each Year, my visit to Ambiente at Messe Frankfurt marks an important moment in the Home Textile calendar. It is where the global Home & Kitchen industry connects designers, manufacturers, and retailers to shape the next season of home textiles.

Travelling to Frankfurt remains one of the most influential trade fairs for consumer goods worldwide. The scale and diversity of the event offer a clear view of where the market is heading – from material innovation to colour direction and product functionality. Highlighting increased demand for responsibly sourced cotton and certified sustainable fibres. Soft, grounded colour palettes inspired by nature, timeless woven checks and structured textures all highlighted this year. As a supplier, we need to monitor and anticipate these shifts, integrating design insights and scalable production. In a digital world, physical trade fairs continue to matter; particularly textiles, feeling the fabrics, weave and softness as these cannot be fully understood through a screen.

A space where relationship deepens and strategy becomes tangible.

Ambiente offers a space where relationships deepen, developments move forward, and strategy becomes tangible. As we return from Frankfurt, we do so with renewed clarity – focused on strong partnerships, and producing kitchen textiles that balance quality, sustainability and commercial performance. In a global marketplace, connections matter, and Ambiente remains one of the most important places where they happen.
